The painters are Jill Hoy, Louise Bourne and Rick Landesberg. You will spend 5 days: one with Rick and two each with Jill and Louise. Throughout the five days of the workshop, you will get the unique opportunity to see the Maine coast through the eyes of three artists with very different visions. On Friday of the the last day, all three artists will be in attendance for a discussion of attendees work.

 

This workshop will be:

​

• most beneficial for painters with moderate to advanced experience

• take place at two iconic properties on the Maine coast in the town of Brooksville. One is a salt water farm with a 19th century farm house on the shores of the Bagaduce, the other is a rock bound, balsam fir, fern and moss strewn property with beautiful gardens and craftsman style home on a secluded cove off of Eggemoggin Reach.

• emphasize your vision and your response to the landscape rather than on you creating finished works.

• limited to 12 participants

• cost $500/pp: Price does not include art supplies, transportation, food or lodging.

• Monday 10am - 4pm. Rick Landesberg. Sketch book at two locations.

• Tuesday & Wednesday 10am - 4pm. Jill Hoy. Eggemoggin Reach location both days.

• Thursday & Friday 10am - 4pm. Louise Bourne. Bagaduce location both days.

• NOTE: Friday begins with a discussion with all three instructors, after which painting continues. At the end of the day: an informal gathering with all three artists, with refreshments served.
